Microsoft released today KB4023680 – a cumulative update to Windows 10 PC running the Anniversary Update or version 1607. This follows after the release of cumulative update to Windows 10 running the Creators Update or version 1703. You can find more here. The update has a single published fix – Addressed issue where End User Defined Characters (EUDC) may not be visible in some applications. It might also comes with under the hood minor fixes and improvements which are always welcome.

The build bumped to 14393.1230. Head to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Microsoft released today KB4020102 – a cumulative update to Windows 10 PC running Creators Update or version 1703. It is not Patch Tuesday but it does not stop Microsoft in releasing patches and improvements to its latest and greatest OS. Updates are now more critical because of the recent cyber attacks.

The update addressed issues to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Messaging app, NTLM, printer errors, and more.

Changelog

  • Addressed issue where NTLM fails to generate a challenge response when CredGuard is enabled, NTLMv2 is used, and no target information is provided by the server.
  • Addressed issue where Internet Explorer does not respect the “Send all sites not included in the Enterprise Mode Site List to Microsoft Edge” policy when opening favorites.
  • Addressed issue in Internet Explorer 11 where a non-administrator user is not able to install an ActiveX control.
  • Addressed issue where, after starting Split View, some apps (Microsoft Edge, Hub, Cortana, etc.) no longer receive input when multiple displays are in use.
  • Addressed issue with an unnecessary scrollbar in the logon credential provider dialog, which may block use of other fields when the dialog has multiple fields.

TuneIn Radio has updated its Windows 10 app for PC and Mobile. The update includes major changes on UI in Home section, and adds more categories in Browse section which includes Premium Content, Audiobooks, News, and Podcasts. Titles are now more readable and photos are now bigger compared to the previous version. The app feels more complete and polished now.

Home section now shows more suggestions on different categories. From your recent plays, it now shows channels from News, Sports, Podcast, Audiobooks, and Featured Talks.

TuneIn Radio now suggests Podcasts and Audiobooks

Browse section now has Audiobooks, Podcasts, and Premium Content – same as in Home. Contents and channels are there for a long time but they were not shown or promoted in the app. It is great to see these changes so users can now explore more content with organized UI.

You can now browse more.

It includes 2 immediate fixes to (1) crashes on media or DVD apps that use Microsoft MPEG-2 handling libraries and (2) deadlock issues on Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 1607 clients with Switch Embedded Teaming (SET) enabled. These issues arise after installing the previous cumulative update KB4013429 which was released last week. These are critical issues that need to be addressed immediately, hence, Microsoft did not wait for the next Patch Tuesday and released the fix immediately. Microsoft released today KB4013429 – a cumulative update for Windows 10 PC and Mobile version 1607. It includes fixes and improvements to rendering apps on multiple monitors, group policies, remote desktop, Internet Explorer installation issues, Microsoft Edge and many more. The update is a big jump to build number as Microsoft did not release cumulative updates last month. x64 file now crosses the 1GB mark. 14393.953 is the last cumulative update for Redstone 1 for public as the next update will be the Creators Update slated in April. Redstone 1 will still continue to receive cumulative updates for those devices which are not yet eligible for Creators Update (especially in Enterprise).

The build bumped to 14393.953. Head to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update (PC) or Settings > Update and Security > Phone Update to download the update.

If you are having difficulty downloading the update through Windows Update or stuck in a certain percentage. In case you want to manually download the update, the direct links are provided below. Downloading the file manually is also useful for those who have multiple Windows 10 PC devices and have limited bandwidth.

The size of 32-bit and 64-bit versions are 579MB (up by 65MB from previous update) and 1.06GB (up by 105MB from previous update) respectively. Note that these updates are cumulative. Therefore, the packages contain all previously released fixes.
