Microsoft is betting big on Your Phone app which brings Windows 10 PCs and smartphone closer. Your Phone is supposed to streamline how you operate your smartphone together with your PC. The current version of Your Phone app for Windows 10 mirror the photos stored in your phone straight to your desktop PC.
For starters, the app only allows users to access photos stored on their smartphone but the app is also expected to receive support for notifications, messaging and other features later this year.
Today, Microsoft is rolling out a new update for Your Phone app with some major improvements. First off, the Your Phone app now features Fluent Design acrylic effect on the left-side pane. For those unfamiliar, the acrylic is a translucent surface and it adds blurry effect on transient UI elements, such as dialogs, sidebar, and even flyouts.
The second noticeable change is the new smartphone icon located at the top left corner. It’s worth noting that the Your Phone is showing the icon for select phones only.
The latest version of Your Phone app is 1.0.12354.0 and it’s available for the Windows Insiders in the Fast and Skip Ahead. You can find the list of the changes below:
