myTube is a very popular but unofficial YouTube appl developed for Windows 10 users. myTube is built on Microsoft Universal Windows Platform (UWP) and offers all the features available in the official YouTube app developed by Google.
The myTube app has received many new features including support for Fluent Design elements and more. myTube was, however, missing the main feature of being able to open YouTube links within its window.
When asked, the Ryken developers responded that it would require major changes to the website. It looks like another developer has figured out a solution. An independent developer has released a new browser “myTube!Companion” extension for myTube to improve the YouTube experience on your Windows PC.
The browser extension has been provided by a developer identified as Arlo and the extension is available for Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Chrome. The new browser extension allows users to open a YouTube link within the app instead of watching it in a browser.
This has been possible due to the “Apps for websites” feature which is available in Windows 10 giving a seamless user experience. The original developer Ryken studios also recommended myTube extension within the myTube app so you can trust the myTube!Companion extension.
If you haven’t yet downloaded the myTube!Companion extension for Microsoft Edge then you can do so by clicking below the links.
You can download the extension from Microsoft Store, Chrome Web Store and Firefox store.

I disabled it. It opens the video on the app but also plays the video on YouTube...
