Windows 10 Mail app update

Microsoft recently started A/B testing of the drawing feature in Windows 10 Mail app. Today, the updated version of Windows 10 Mail app is widely rolling out to the Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Ring and as well as the Fast Ring. We are also seeing the changes live on multiple devices.

As far as we know, the update started rolling out to the users earlier this week and it’s finally showing up on all devices enrolled in the Windows Insider program.

The new feature in Windows 10 Mail app basically lets you draw or scribble anything and it works on any device, including desktops.

The updated version of Windows 10 Mail app is 16005.10325.20098.0 and you can find the changelog below:

“Mail for Windows 10 now supports ink! Take notes on pictures or add a drawing using a pen or your finger. Go to the Draw tab in the ribbon to get started,” Microsoft explains.

  • Insert a Drawing Canvas from the ribbon anywhere in your email to add a sketch.
  • Annotate any picture by drawing on or next to it.
  • Use ink effects like galaxy, rainbow, and rose gold colored pens.
