A couple of days ago we had reported about the leaked pictures of the Cancelled Microsoft Surface Mini. And few weeks back we have also seen leaked pictures and specifications of cancelled Lumia 960 and a Nokia Windows Phone with qwerty keypad. We have already seen various cancelled Lumia series smartphone and that trend seems to continue now. Today Leaked pictures of a Nokia tablet had surfaced on the internet. The device was codenamed Nokia Mercury.
The device was powered by a Intel atom x86 processor with RAM upto 2GB which makes it a better alternative to the previously leaked specs of Surface Mini . It had a LTE enabled sim slot for cellular connectivity. This cancelled tablet also had front and rear facing camera. From the design point of view it is looking like a older Nokia phone with colorful plastic back.
Like the last leaks we can’t tell what would be the fate of this device if it had been released by Microsoft but one thing we are quite sure is users do want a small sized affordable tablet device. OEMs have not launched smaller Windows tablets since a long time,but may be they are waiting for the Windows on ARM.
