Microsoft today released a new update for its Windows Camera app for Windows 10 devices. The update is available for Insiders enrolled in the Release Preview Ring on their PCs and Tablets. The latest update has pushed the app to new version 2017.1223.10.0.
The latest update brings with it many new features which were long awaited by Windows 10 users. The update introduces Fluent Design elements to the Camera application on Windows 10 PCs and Tablets. You will now be able to see new acrylic support and effects to the camera settings section of the application.
You will find a new item “Manual focus” in the functional bar which lets users to adjust the focus of the camera as per your liking. If you have closed the camera application after using the front camera for taking photos, the application will now remember and open the front camera again once you restart or open the camera application again.
Microsoft has made improvements to the brightness slider which works more smoothly and shows the selected brightness level by the user. You will also be able to attach a photo and send it to the email while already recording a video at the same time.
As reported above the new update to the camera application is available only for Insiders in Release Preview ring and on Windows 10 PCs and tablets. You will not be seeing any camera update on your Windows 10 Mobile.
