Microsoft has today announced the New Surface Pro at its event in Shanghai. The new Surface is a refresh of the older Surface Pro 4. The Surface Pro keeps the same chassis and connectors as the older models to ensure compatibility between keyboards and cases.

The Surface Pro is upgraded to Intel’s 7th generation processors Kaby Lake. The device also comes with a fanless Intel processors meaning more battery life and power output. Microsoft has not made any changes to the screen apart from some minor improvements. Users will also be getting a new Surface pen with improved latency.

The company claims that the new Surface is a refined version of the old one with 13.5 hour battery life, fanless design, along with softer rounder corners which helps bolster the narrative.
