Back few months ago we reported about Microsoft quitting both development and production of the Lumia phone series to better focus on what’s yet unknown development of the “Surface Phone”. We have no official announcements to actually confirm that, but the fact that Lumia devices are running out of stock in a few European countries like Germany and United Kingdom is a big signal
In the past months Microsoft has also been discounting those device to clear inventory, and now that we’re close to Christmas and the end of the year, the German and UK stores are out of Windows Phone handsets
We don’t know yet when or even if new stocks are going to refill the Store, but in the meantime if you’re looking for a Lumia as a Christmas present you can still buy it from major stores like Amazon and Carephone Warehouse
