One of the previous updates of Mail and Calendar apps for Windows 10 introduced the new colourful contact icons next to the email sender, and today Microsoft pushed another update for the apps that brings the possibility to disable those icons, just in case you don’t like them.

It’s not enabled by default, so if you want to remove the icons you’ll have to navigate to Reading settings and turn it on. The update was made available today for both Fast and Slow ring insiders, and as of standard plans, Microsoft will probably roll out this same update to public after a couple of weeks or days, depending on how many issues the app will hit.

So if you haven’t yet downloaded the update, please go ahead and download it from Windows Store
