WhatsApp team after regularly updating their Beta App for Windows Phone has finally today pushed out a new update for its Official application for Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. The update has bumped the app to new version 2.17.258.

The latest update to the Stable version of the application is a major one and introduces many new features which have already been tested on its Beta application for some time now. With the latest update the WhatsApp team has introduced all the features currently available on the Beta Application. Below is the full changelog:

  • New GIF search feature
  • Multiple selection in the chat list by tapping on the far left of the chat.
  • Some improvements for sending any type of files.
  • Removed some backgrounds from the WhatsApp’s default background list
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

The Beta users are currently testing the Emoticons search features which was pushed out yesterday by the WhatsApp team. After successful testing the Emoticons search feature will be made available to the public version soon.
