WhatsApp today released a new update for its stable version of the application. The app has been bumped to new version 2.18.44.0. The latest update for the stable version comes with some new features and some features which are hidden and not yet activated  general use.

The latest update comes with the Introduction of the new Group Description feature which was in testing in the Beta application. You will now be able to give a description to the group which will be visible to all the group members.

Another new feature which has been activated is the new Group search feature which helps users to be able to search for the group member without having to scroll in a large group. Just by typing the name of the group member in the search option you will be easily able to find the group member.

Apart from activating the above two new features, WhatsApp team has also included some more new features which are currently hidden in the latest update. The hidden features include the introduction of stickers along with a new section in the Privacy page of the WhatsApp application. WhatsApp will be supporting 3rd party stickers in the near future and currently this option is hidden in the latest update.

WhatsApp has already introduced the new Calling UI for Windows Phone users which lets users to easily switch between a Voice and Video call by sending a Video call request with the same person without disconnecting the ongoing voice call but would need to be accepted by the opposite person.
